Media Podcast

“The media's the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that's power. Because they control the minds of the masses.”

Salaam Alaikum.

The Media in my oppinion has long lead the public where it wants. The general populace will take what hears, regurgitate it at the water cooler or a politically oriented class and have no real ideas or oppinions of its own.

The media will frequently use polls to prove its point. Frequently they wont even tell you who performed the poll or how they collected the information. These polls are essentially useless. The worse polls of all are the ones conducted by the program on the program. The people watching your program agree with your program? Astounding!!!

besides 68% of polls are made up on the spot anyway.

The media has done great things for this country like keeping moral up in WWII and exposing the Watergate scandal. However, it has also done many disreputable things, especially recently. It has exposed CIA agents and incriminated LAX players.

The media must remain free to some extent. In my oppinion they must be accountable for things they say especially when they say or print them without proof.
