Theory of why the economy is bad
People are giving all of their money to obama, so they dont have enough for other things.

7:27 PM

Anonymous Anonymous said...

No. The economy is bad because people were too willing to take out money that they could never pay back. And in turn this screwed over the banks who weren't able to get their money.

IT DOESNT MATTER THAT HE DOEST HAVE EXPERIENCE! LINCOLN HAD COMPARABLE EXPERIENCE TO OBAMA AND HE WAS ARGUABLY THE BEST PRESIDENT EVER. BUSH HAD EXPERIENCE AND HE IS THE WORST PRESIDENT EVER. PLUS HE HAS BIDEN WHO IS A FOREIGN POLICY GURU. SO YEAH THAT ANSWERS UR QUESTION

7:56 PM

Lincolns exprince got him killed

7:58 PM

Anonymous Anonymous said...

Zach,

Lincoln was a veteran (fought in French and Indian War).

And Lincoln never was President in a Nuclear age and age of Terror. I'd love an Obama type in 1860.

Biden is the answer to foreign policy huh? He's not good, but his VP is????

That's pretty bad man

Bringing up the plumber

8:08 PM

Anonymous Anonymous said...

They both dont get it. They both feel that becuase we are America and we throw money at a problem it goes away, look its not working. Maybe americans what the econmey to rights its self without throwing our money away

8:08 PM

Anonymous Anonymous said...

obama is not necessarily good at debating. he does use a lot of filler words like "um," can't argue with that...but mccain is worse because he just fumbles and does not sound eloquent in comparison

8:08 PM

Anonymous Anonymous said...

for someone who is supposed to be on the attack.....mccain sure stumbles over his words.

8:08 PM

Anonymous Anonymous said...

Mac's answer was like the Clinton one for me...

8:09 PM

Anonymous Anonymous said...

Obama definitely won that question, because he clearly said why his plan was different than Mac's and spoke a bit about why his was going to help people.

8:10 PM

Anonymous Anonymous said...

not at all. it was a cheap replica.

8:11 PM

Anonymous Anonymous said...

Mac's putting words in Obamas mouth.

8:11 PM

More than 40% dont pay taxes so how do you lower it more, oh right take the hardworking mans money and give them more

8:13 PM

Anonymous Anonymous said...

Mac's little self-promoting anecdotes don't really seem to get him far.

It sounds like Mac's talking about communism when he talks about spreading the wealth around. It sounds like he's promoting communism and calling Obama a socialist. He still hasn't talked about how he's going to help the middle class.

8:13 PM

Anonymous Anonymous said...

mac just loves to interrupt...

8:13 PM

Anonymous Anonymous said...

Good point by mac about the possibility of business leaving because taxes are so hgh here

8:14 PM

Anonymous Anonymous said...

For sure huck,
business skyrocketed for JOE

8:14 PM

2. what does that have to do with anything?!?! i never said anything about a flag pin so i have NO idea where you pulled that comment out of.
3. if you'd read what i wrote you'd see i'm actually trying to talk about the debate...and about the issues.

Should intelligent young women consider Sarah Palin a role model when she cannot even name a single Supreme Court case that she disagrees with or a newspaper that she actually reads? Sarah Palin sets us back because she takes away from the intellect of the modern, American woman. And to say that she is a role model is frankly insulting...I'm pretty sure that women in America can do better than that

obama's trying to be nice because he doesn't want to escalate the debate because if he raises the stakes too much he stands too much to lose if something goes wrong. he would rather have a draw here than risk giving mccain a chance to score big so he will try to be nice and he will try to deflate animosity and intensity

8:46 PM

Todd-
what is it with people generalizing me and other liberals. you really don't know me at all. sarah palin is not a role model for women. she wants to take their rights away from having control over what is done to their own bodies, their privacy. i'm sorry but the government has no right in telling me what i can and can't do with my body. i am the farthest thing from an elitest. i don't think i'm better than anyone. so todd, next time you choose to generalize about me and liberals, get your facts straight.

doesn't mccain want to freeze government spending and yet he wants to try and do all these things ? and he also said he doesn't want to prioritize the issues so how is he going to do everything at the same time? i'm confused

we can't drill ourselves out of the problem because soon enough there's going to be nothing left to drill.

now i'll actually get back to the issues. that's the reason we're here. we need to end dependency on foreign oil. it's time to up research in finding alternative energy sources. in the mean time, we need to find a different way to find oil without involving chavez, putin, and the middle east.
p.s obama is right about american cars. we need to improve them and open up more factories in the US to create more jobs...what a concept.

Being pro-life doesn't make you a bad person. But she wants to impose her views on the rest of the nation, even on girls who were raped. I don't think that makes her a role model for women. I think that DEFINITELY sets women back if they can't have control over their own bodies. I think it's SO important that people choose for themselves. That is to say, I don't believe abortion should be used as birth control. But I do believe that people should be able to control their own bodies, and I dislike Palin for standing in the way of that.
