Maybe he explained himself?

just because you have one opinion does not mean it is engraved in stone. People's views oscillate occasionally, and that's perfectly normal!
Maybe he experienced an event than made him reconsider his stance. Who knows? Maybe he lost a baby and was so devastated that he can't imagine a woman, eh, getting rid of her baby.
(I'm pro-choice, btw).

People can change their opinions on any topic. Its like what happens at school. At first elbaum was thinking Hillary was going all the way, now he has changed to Senor Obama. What does it matter? At least he has an opinion.
